NATCHEZ & KINGSTON, MISSISSIPPI
April 25, 26 & 27, 2014
Forty-eight descendants met for the first time on April 1, 1940, at the Methodist Church in Kingston, Mississippi. Originally known as the King, Swayze, Farrar, Eaton Family Association, the organization grew and transformed into the Descendants of the Jersey Settlers of Adams County, Mississippi. From the beginning, the purposes of the organization have been to honor and perpetuate the memory of the early pioneers who came from New Jersey and settled on the Homochitto in 1773, to maintain and preserve their burial grounds, to foster research and writing relative to these ancestors, and to meet and renew ties of kinship as well as teach younger generations about their heritage.
The 75th Annual Reunion promises to be a true "family affair" by bringing together the young and the not so young to celebrate our heritage.
